Artists

We work with a diverse range of artists across multiple genres. The thread that holds us together is that we all dig deep and shout loud. Have any questions about our artists? Want to book them for a gig?

Tommy Evans

Hailing from a family of artists, innovation, imagination and industry are embedded in the DNA of Leeds-born, West London-based Tommy Evans. As a pioneering UK rap musician, Tommy has appeared on over 80 releases (including 7 solo LPs). Tommy’s music has been playlisted from Spotify to Radio 1 and featured on MTV, Soccer AM, Skins and Kidulthood. He has played live with De La Soul, Common and the godfather of hip hop, DJ Kool Herc as well as performing before the likes of David Rodigan, Adele and HRH William, Prince Of Wales. Tommy can even count Rio Ferdinand and Kylie as fans with his voice sampled by Dilla alongside Madlib!

Fran Minney

Leeds based Fran Minney creates a dreamy indie electronica soundtrack to the colourful woodland world she mentally inhabits. Minney’s songs are inspired as much by her mental health and the people she’s interacted with as they are by the daily paintings that the world makes for her. Though deeply personal, her songs have an ability to felt and understood by almost everyone. Much of this comes from rich honest vocals which manage to be haunting, powerful and intimate all at the same time.

Fold

Based in Leeds, Fold explore the musical nature of language that also carries important messages. James Baldwin once said that as artists “we don’t change anything, all we can do is invest people with the morale to change it for themselves.” Fold are concerned with amplifying perspectives that aren’t heard enough. Fold have gained a sound reputation as a gem in the crown of the underground British music scene, going as far as a 6 Music live session for Lauren Laverne on Record Store Day. Their most recent singles have appeared on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and stations across the world.

Oakley Riot

Oakley Riot is a Canadian-born, UK based singer and songwriter who is about to explode onto the music scene with their first release ‘BODYHOME’. Their alternative pop songs are dark, gritty and powerful with themes of trauma, sexuality and civil disobedience. As a genderqueer pansexual person, Oakley Riot is an advocate and ally for their listeners and encourages everyone to be their weird, wacky and wonderful selves. Trained at Tileyard and armed with a Masters in Songwriting and Music Production, this is one artist you don’t want to miss.

Happy Daggers

Happy Daggers are a Leeds based quintet, who specialise in a unique brand of energetic and funky Rock and Soul. The band have previously graced the stages of the Reading and Leeds Festivals, British Summertime (in supt. of Stevie Wonder), Bingley Music Live, Beatherder, Live At Leeds, Beacons, and Long Division. As well as regular headline slots across the country, Happy Daggers have also performed with the likes of Public Service Broadcasting, The Milk, Red Rum Club, Pretty Vicious, The Tapestry, Middleman, Fold and many others.

Komla MC

A Ghanaian expatriate holding it down in Leeds, Komla MC is a longtime collaborator with Fold and former frontman of Tiger Shadow. His distinctive West African flow and dextrous wordplay are sure to entertain hip hop heads across the globe. Komla is also an avid experimenter embracing genres from Highlife to Drill, always holding that golden age Boom Bap close to his heart. Watch out for his debut SUBTXT release in 2023.

Warning Horses

Earlier this year Ed Heaton and Seth Mowshowitz joined forces to create a beautiful monster of unique musical proportions. Unfortunately you’ll all have to wait a few more months to hear any of it. Watch this space.

Okay, thanks, give us a minute here…
Nice! You're on the list, welcome to the party 🙂
